Sommaire

A landmark in the history of French-speaking streaming and online solidarity is about to take its final bow. On Sunday, May 17, the famous streamer ZeratoR (Adrien Nougaret) shook the Twitch community by announcing the big return of ZEvent. But behind the excitement of getting back the most anticipated charity marathon of the year lies bittersweet news: this 10th edition will be the very last.

Ten years after it began in 2016, the legendary event is bowing out. Here are the details of this announcement that marks the end of an era but promises a historic grand finale.

"Closing the story the way we wrote it with you"

Why stop at the height of success? Each year the event brings together millions of viewers and regularly breaks world donation records, notably raising more than 16 million euros in 2025 for patients and caregivers.

In a live statement, ZeratoR wanted to explain this bold choice to his loyal followers:

"It's a moment that doesn't exist anywhere else. We are choosing to stop at this 10th edition. A complete story into which we poured all our energy. A story we want to close the way we wrote it with you. What is ending is this adventure. Not the momentum, not the cause, not the desire to help. Stopping also means leaving room for others to carry this momentum in their own way."

Streamer Domingo, who has shown up since day one, shared his nostalgia on his X account: "Damn, this hits hard. I've taken part in every edition and I've always given everything I had for the different causes." For his part, Mastu has already kicked off the rivalry with humor for this final round: "This year, we're going to shut Domingo down, I'm not kidding."

A grand program for this final showcase

There's no question of the ZEvent team tiptoeing away. To celebrate this decade of existence, ZeratoR promises an edition that is "even grander, richer and broader", set to break every record for audience and generosity.

Here is what we already know about this exceptional setup, which will take place from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, 2026:

  • An XXL opening concert: The kickoff will be given on the evening of Thursday, September 3 at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier. For this special occasion, a lineup worthy of the biggest festivals will bring together on stage GIMS, Bigflo & Oli, Gazo, as well as the Orchestre Curieux (joined by Marianne and PV Nova). Ticketing is already open, with prices ranging from €35 to €45, and all proceeds will go to the charities.
  • More than 50 hours of non-stop live: More streamers than ever will gather on-site (and online) to host the famous streaming marathon.
  • The return of ALL the charities: To blow out its ten candles, ZEvent has gone big. The event will bring together all the organizations it has supported since its creation (French Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Institut Pasteur, Amnesty International, Action contre la Faim, WWF France, the Ligue contre le Cancer, etc.).

The legacy of an extraordinary project

In ten years, ZEvent has profoundly transformed the influence and streaming landscape in France. Beyond the tens of millions of euros raised for humanitarian, environmental and medical causes, the project has acted as an incubator for wild ideas and entertainment. It is notably through the famous "donation goals" (the challenges streamers set themselves at each donation tier) that major web-culture projects came to life, such as Squeezie's famous GP Explorer.

See you in early September to write the final lines of this huge internet project!
