Instagram is changing how you manage your profile once again. As of September 10, 2026, it is now possible to add a post published by another account where you are tagged to your own feed.
Until now, posts where you were tagged remained in a dedicated tab. Now, they can also be added directly to your main profile grid.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Good news: there's no need to repost the content.
When an account tags you in a post, a new "Add to grid" option appears. You can use it directly from the DM notification, from the post itself, or from your tagged posts tab.
The post will then appear on your feed with a small icon indicating that it is a post in which you have been tagged.
And don't worry: the post remains on the account that originally published it. Adding it to your feed does not create a duplicate and does not change the author of the post. You can also remove it from your grid whenever you want, without deleting the original post.
A REAL PLUS FOR CREATORS AND BRANDS
For creators, this new feature is a great way to highlight collaborations.
A photoshoot, campaign, or group photo posted by a brand can now appear directly on a creator's profile without them needing to repost the content. It’s a convenient way to keep track of collaborations while maintaining a cohesive feed.
For brands, it’s also a new way to bring a campaign to life. If multiple creators are tagged in the same post, each one can choose to add it to their own profile, thereby giving more visibility to the content.
This new feature arrives as Instagram gives users more and more control over their grid. Since June, it has been possible to rearrange the order of posts on your feed.
It’s a small update, but one that could well change how creators build their feeds.
